slowly fading
have the following experience happen to you before:
your friend have this really2 weird habit, and you started to talk with your other friends about this habit, in the end you ended up hating that person for no credible reason
it doesn't stop there. the more you think and interact with this person, you began to see the bad habit even more, it became more apparent and obvious than before, and you began to hate that person more and more each day you think about that person.
furthermore, because you hate that person, you think about that person everyday, being angry at him/her, you began to think of ways that you can give back the same "grief" that this person had caused you. Without relising, you, somewhat or another, had became similar to the person that you hate, the only difference is that... you think that you're right, and he/she is wrong.
well guess what, that was a short story about me. it's really interesting actually... because when i talk or have conversation about other people's habit, though at the time it may not feel it, it was slowly engraved into my heart, bit by bit... it adds up... from nothing to something... from like to hate...
that's how many relationship ends in this world doesn't it... when trust become betrayal, love became a reason to hate, care became the reason not to care... it is the beginning of the downfall of any relationship, if it's not carefully fixed and tended...
that's why, the passage in the Bible where they say "speak in truth and love" should not be overlooked or undermined. It means so much deeper and it has a continuing consequences, a problem that leads to other problems, if we ignore them. And it doesn't just apply to that passage, everything in the Bible, is written for our own good, God knows what we need and need not, He knows our weaknesses... and once we think that we are strong, that's really when we are at our weakest. When we think that we don't need God and that we have full control over ourselves, is when satan take full control over us.
so, be careful... speak in truth and love, encourage and edify each other, pray that God will reveal His plan for us... it's a slow fade when you give yourselves away... people never crumble in a day...
if we cultivate bad habits, bad habits will multiply and soon detoriate our faith and trust in the Lord...
so yeah!! happy encouraging each other guyss!! hehehe
