2020 Xmas reflection

Think of the stinkiest, dirtiest barn Full of poos and animals stuffed together In one of the busiest day of .... Ever!  This was the condition in which the Lord was born  Not in a quiet place on top of the hill with a star on top It wasn't clean It wasn't comfortable There was nothing nice about it At a time of oppression and suffering That is why we celebrate this birth Not because of the gifts Not because of the parties Not even because of the family gathering It's because this world was so desperate and still is So broken So desperate So hopeless As you celebrate Christmas this year remember it was never about the sparkling, expensive, sanitised celebration and useless presents that we receive that give us joy.  It is simply because the King of the Universe, Maker of all decided to enter into the ugliness and brokenness that we may have hope.  Your holiday plans might be cancelled You're forced into 14 days self isolation by yourself Or your family gathering postpo
