what's the most sinful thing?

I was just thinking about this... just now.. after watching an anime about a murderer. The story goes like this:

A girl was forced by his father to become a porn model. The father's excuse was "it is so expensive to raise you! now is time for you to pay me back!." The father later said that he was going to use her younger sister as well to become a porn model. The sister was about 5-6 years old. Then the girl killed his father, for the sake of protecting the younger sister. Later, a boy who liked this girl, found out that the girl was the murder of her father, but he didn't believed it and he confessed to her instead. And she ended up killing him because she was jealous of him for having such a carefree life... The end of the story, was the girl regretting what she had done and accepting that she was stupid and wrong and she wrote the most pure and innocent death letter to her younger sister.

Sorry for my lack of ability to write an intriguing and clear story... But this reminds me, a long while ago, while i was still in remaja, about a few months after i was baptised, i went to a retreat. The topic of the retreat was pre-destination. At the time, i hated the thought that God was so unfair to pre-destined a person to go to hell!! and i remember arguing to the preacher. One of the question that i asked was:

"what if, this murderer, killed his family, and just before his death, he received Christ. Does that means, that his sins are forgiven? ALL OF IT? He still goes to heaven? What about those kind people who doesn't believe in Christ, but always does the right thing? Do they still goes to hell because they didn't want to believe in Christ?"

Mind you, while i was asking this, i was really furious too!! the question didn't sound as calm, collected and polite as that!! ahahaha

But now, when i look back, i'm glad that God challanged me with that issue. Because i now know the real reason behind it. Behind God's gracious, wonderful, marvelous, superfragilisticexpialidoscious grace!! That He DOES forgives ALL kinds of sins, EVERY SINGLE ONE of them! no matter how bad they look... He forgives them.. IF we come to Him and ask for forgiveness....

It's amazing isn't it? And what's more than that, is that HE FORGETS them!! He doesn't use them to makes us feel guilty about our sinful desires, or to reminds us of how sinful we are! Because He knows us, He loves us, and He will do anything for us to come to Him!!

It's just too wonderful to comprehendd!! All He wants is for us to depend on Him! It's that SIMPLEE!!

But it is our sinful nature that makes it soo hard... Just take this for example, how many of us tends to judge the level of sins? Thinking that a little sin like lying will not do as much as a big sins like murdering someone or corruption? How many of us likes to play God? To tell everyone what's right and what's wrong in our eyes, and really2 force others to do it for us!? Well, i'm not saying this because i myself don't do them. I'm saying them because i KNOW THEM and are familiar with them myself!!

It's really2 hard for me to forgive those who had tresspassed against me, what's more impossible is that i have forget them!! It's INSUFFERABLE!IMPOSSIBLE! My logic always tells me, that if i forget about them, then they will ALWAYS repeats the same thing over and over again!! So i mustn't forget about it, so that i can prevent myself from hurting again, with the same problems. And i have to remember them so that i too have a reason to wrong them, because they had done the same thing to me!

But, IT IS POSSIBLE to do so!! If we keep on listening to our "logic", when will God ever be our "logic". When will we ever be made Christ-like if we never want to be taught by Christ Himself?

So my answer to what's the most sinful thing. Just remember what Jesus said about forgiveness. That it should be done "seventy times seven times". Why is it that we always looks at the outside? the insignificant?

God looks at the heart, not the action!

The most sinful thing is when we reject God and try to live life our own way.
