suffering?
I was just thinking, about our sufferings in this world. Not long ago, i heard a friend said to me: "I've suffered for five years, FIVE YEARS, don't you think it meant something".
Really, that question really struck me! i've heard it many times before, but this one time just made me think, about our "sufferings" as a Christian.
Jesus already said before He died, how as He suffered, we too will suffer. This may not seem as significant to us when we live in this place (australia/sydney/ developed country) where troubles, suffering seems so faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar away. Where most of the sufferings we receive is the suffering that was we inflict upon ourselves (jealousy, laziness, lack of motivation, debauchery, un-reasonable anger, pms, un-lovingness and etc2).
so my question is: When we suffer, is it rightful for us to claim blessings for that sufferings? When we suffer, does that mean that God owes us something? When we suffer, does that mean that everyone owes us something? Does God need our suffering?
God is NOT a god who need anything from us, we're the ones that needs EVERYTHING from Him! because nothing that we have is ours in the first place. So when we suffer, God is the ones that hurt the most, not us! because we are His most beloved creation.
How would human parents feel when they see their children suffering? I would imagine, they would suffer so much more than those being tortured.
How would God, who's love is immeasurable feel when He sees His loving creation suffering? Only God knows. One thing for sure is that He would judge rightly and more justly.
So let us be more patient and persevere when we suffer because we know that God is watching us and is doing something wonderful without us knowing!!
