love season
Love is everywhere or should i say "love is in the air"... and during this feb season.. it's emphasised a LOT more... it could be a daunting season for a lot of people or a joyous one for others... it's a season of contradictions...why? because for one person alone this season might mean joy and happiness and for another year it might mean pain and sorrow and most of all shame...
Which proposed the question... about the real meaning of love.. and who it's for.
i think everyone just can't help overflowing with romantic passion during valentine's day. Guys become more "active" during the months/days/weeks leading up to this day. It's funny really.
I guess it's a good thing to have this commemoration day, because it's sort of reminds us of God's first command to adam and eve, which is to make loads of children(of course with commitments, responsibility and all that taken into accounts)
but what do we singles supposed to do in these kinds of festive? i guess not do anything but just watch and enjoy the show! hahahah ... and to encourage another singles that their time will come too.. or for some.. that God had better plan in their life than being involved in a romantic relationship...
For me personally, i use this time when i am still single, to really look out for which type of guys i can tolerate and would best be suitable for my personality. Or just to reflect upon myself and try to find out what God has in store for me in my singleness and what things that is available that only singles can do.
One thing i find a bit relieving is to know that being single means that i can focus more on my study, and that i get a special "advantage" than those who already have a family (which is almost all of the people that goes to my college).
Yes, i have to be honest, that it does get a bit sad and lonely and shameful knowing that you don't have anyone to share your valentine with. But that's what fellowship are for... and thankfully (or not) most of the people in my fellowship are singles... so it doesn't really give a lot of pressure to those who are single. And furthermore, us singles can use the time to get to know each other more!!
I personally think that i know about people more if i don't have a romantic feeling towards him (not her) and it's good to know that i can channel my love to MORE people rather than only to one "special" person. Ain't that good!?
soooo...
ENJOY LOVE
GOD IS LOVE
God is the giver of Love...
So enjoy the love that God has given you!
