BE AWARE!!!
Pick one, out of all of these choices which are the worst enemy to have:
1. a madman holding a weapon in his hands
2. the person who identifies him/herself as the "worst enemy" to have
3. a terrorist
4. a mafia
5. the nicest, smartest and lovliest friend you ever have....
i would say the last choice is the worst enemy to have... Even Paul, in his writings, warns us about the people that are close to us, who are teaching the wrong gospel message and manipulating the church... and he didn't write it once ... but many2 times over and over again in his letters... and rightly so... because it is those people in the church that makes the church looks bad, and that are doing the most damage to the body of Christ....
but keep on asking the Lord for help... and for wisdom and courage to rebuke these people... and strength to always trust in His grace and love only and not on our own understanding... because there's a reason why God allowed these people inside His body... it's to teach His children and to point us to the right direction... because how can we know what is wrong if all we see is right...
God so loved His children that He would discipline us
Hebrew 12:7:
Remember this verse when you are feeling down.. don't think or start to pity yourself because God is disciplining you! but be ENCOURAGED and thankful because discipline is one way the Lord shows His unfailing love for us
and another verse to adds to this is from James 3:13-17

Hebrew 12:7:
Endure hardship as disciple; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? if you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons
Remember this verse when you are feeling down.. don't think or start to pity yourself because God is disciplining you! but be ENCOURAGED and thankful because discipline is one way the Lord shows His unfailing love for us

13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15 Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
Here's the best advice i could find to those who always makes excuses to keep on slacking in doing the right thing... You can only serve one master... if you sin that means you are a slave to sin...
