Doing our best for God

This is the one question that i've been pondering (at the back of my mind) lately (actually, since the beginning of the year). What is doing our best for God?

Some of the things that i've found out:

- sometimes WE specify what is "best" for God rather than God specifying

- sometimes other people are taking over God's job and specify it for us

- sometimes God uses other people to tell us what is pleasing to Him

- the BIBLE is sufficient for us to know what His will is - but because we're so hardheaded we must be reminded by other people from outside the Bible...
